Ao Lux

Ao Lux (Liquid Resonance) is a multidisciplinary art movement and Web3 initiative focused on regenerating the aquifer and cenotes of the Riviera Maya.

​What are we creating?

Through this campaign, we are funding two interconnected actions:

​Awareness (The Event): An immersive experience in Tulum that fuses visual arts, biomaterial sculpture, land art, body design, sensory gastronomy (Japanese-Yucatecan fusion and nyotaimori), poetry, and electronic music with ancestral frequencies. A contemporary ritual to reconnect with the element of water.

​Action (Ao Lux Home): The development and assembly of a low-cost mini wastewater treatment plant based on frugal engineering and circular economy principles (capping its cost at a maximum of $30,000 MXN).

​Why is this important?

Quintana Roo’s underground river ecosystem faces a severe contamination crisis. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to build a decentralized team that will assemble the first Ao Lux Home plant, which will then be donated and installed in the home of a local family (of up to 7 people).

​This serves as the prototype to launch a sustainable commercial initiative: selling these low-cost eco-friendly systems throughout the Riviera Maya, returning value to this treasury to continuously fund art and water sanitation.
